Happy St. Patrick's Day 2011

Sick little Chase was found sleeping in random places through out the day.  I lost him for about 3 minutes around 9:00 AM and found him on the edge of my bed fast asleep behind a pile of blankets.  Then later in the morning around 11 I found him sleeping here on the tile.  Poor lil fella!
I am not much for HUGE celebrations of St. Patrick's Day, but I do like to acknowledge that it is a fun holiday and a day different than the rest of the month.  So we did some fun festivities to honor the day.
Lepruchaun hat making with paper, printed pictures I found online, and a little tape, glue, and crayons.
4-Leaf clovers to decorate our walls and hats

Morgan loves loves loves crafts.  Anything that requires assembling or making she does her very very best and is so happy to be crafting.  Little woman of my own heart!
Attempted to draw 4 leaf clovers and "lucky" with eyeliner along with some green eye-shadow.
Brooklyn did surprisingly well with her cutting skills.  I was so happy for her to understand cutting AROUND the pictures and not dicing them up like last time.
Tyler takes cutting very seriously and really works hard with his hand coordination.

4-leaf clover search in our back yard.  There is a little patch by the trampoline that seems to collect a bunch.
This expression was right before Morgan realized this was still a 3-leaf clover and started to cry a little.  She REALLY REALLY wanted to find a 4 -leaf clover.

Tyler was certain he found one, and then coached Brooklyn how to spot them.

She was super exticed that she got to pick a clover for the camera.  She was very specific as to which one she wanted.

Green Everything for lunch:  Green Pasta,  Green cream cheese on bagels, and green juice along with green frosting on graham cracker's for dessert.

Happy New Year 2011!!!

Family Tradition (5 yrs now) :  Celebrate New Year's Eve with little ones.  Everyone gets to stay up til 9 PM to ring in the new year with the NY Ball drop.  Run around the house banging tins and measuring cups with spoons.  Then get a Happy New Year treat.  Next, off to Bed. Not the most elaborate celebration, but very enjoyed by little ones under age 8.

Merry Christmas 2010

Christmas morning began with many little bodies making their way into our bed for the night.  Then around 5:30 AM Morgan came to my bedside with tears stating that she has been waiting and waiting and can't wait any longer.  I'm not sure what time she was up... but obviously early enough to feel that she had been waiting long.  So Jared and I gathered the troops and headed downstairs for the fun.
This grocery basket was a present that was originally going to be for Brooklyn... but to make it more fair we passed it onto Chase and it ended up being the hit of the day for him!  LOL

Not sure what's the deal with the pillow pet craze... but it made 3 little children very happy christmas morning!

Third annual Christmas tradition of orange rolls and cinnemon rolls for breakfast!  Yum yummy!

So much focus on his new video game.  He only had one (cloudy with a chance of meatballs) which he has played daily for months.  He didn't even KNOW new games were even possible!
And the grocery cart still goin' strong!

Little bit of alone time with Polly Pockets
Santa's big gift was the Trampoline.  I had all the kids grab trash to help take out side after all the inital opening died down.  Then as they brought out the trash the saw Santa's big surprise.  They all just stood there in shock.  I said hurry throw your trash away and get jump'n.  They were so happy... I hope it was worth the work for Santa's little helpers.  I will post Trampoline pics soon!!
