Motivating little Boys!

Ok all you mom's out there of little boys.... I need some serious pointers. I have not been able to find a successful method to motivate this little fellow! Its a good thing he's so beautiful, otherwise I'm sure I'd have injured him by now. He is very tender and strong willed, and doesn't seem to respond to much when it comes to doing the things I ask or need him to do. I haven't successfully come up with something that "gets him everytime" if you know what I mean. I also struggle making things "his idea," because that definitely works, but how do I get doing clean up HIS IDEA...not going to happen. Any advise?

I'll be coming back to read what mom's of boys share 'cuz as you know I'm only a mom of girls...but I still think the "Gunny Bag" is the best motivator for both girls or boys...if Gunny Bag eats it - you can't get it back till you earn it. And hey - if they don't care, then putting it away keeps it off your floor anyway since they don't miss it right? Kiss him for aunt Chrystal - - he sure is a gorgeous lil guy! xxx ooo
whoa..he looks like jared in that first picture! i see you've been having fun with photoshop...looks good!
Oh, girl! I am in the same frustrating boat! My little guy is a hard one too. I have a marble jar that he gets to put marbles in when he does something good like cleaning his room, getting dressed without a fight, or doing something wonderful that I didn't have to nag him to do. Once the jar is full, we go to the dollar store, or something else cheap, but rewarding.
Sometimes it works, others not so much. I will definitely be checking back to see other's ideas.
Good luck. Miss you!
I was just browsing at your blog and your family is growing and oh so beautiful!! Congrats to your family!! Love Allison Boyer
I have no clue, but I've seen other moms make a chore chart for an older child, and then the younger one wants to do it, too, and they make a show of saying oh, I don't think you're old enough? And when the little one BEGS and REALLY wants to do it, they get them one, too, when in fact it was meant for the younger one all along. That was a long sentence. Anyway, I would love to hear what you find works for Tyler! Hugs!
