General Conference is one of my favorite times of year. I feel like there are always talks that are specifically given directly to me. It is full of little gems that uplift me, inspire me, and make me feel happy. However.... now with 4 little people to try to keep reverent during several hours of "reverent time", how quickly the valuable messages are soon lost. This year was a circus and felt pointless to even leave conference on. But we want the example set in our home that we do listen and do our best to listen to all of conference, so we tried the online packets, bingo, games, and coloring. All of these nice activities got us through 1 hour of conference and failed us the other 7 hours. I now understand why conference comes out in the ensign magazine. It is my only way of gaining anything from conference these days.
