Fun at the Beach

Mom and Dad had a nice time strolling down the beach together and while doing so, they found a little cove down at the base of the beach that had a little pool and tons of mussels and crabs. We were so excited to watch the crabs and see them hide from the sun. I found a few sand crabs too that Mom had a lot of fun watching burrow back in the sand after we'd shake them up a bit in our sand pails. Simple Pleasures!

Beach Fun with Grandma and Grandpa Braden

Our first outing with Grandma, Grandpa Braden, Tanner, and Becca was a fun day at the Beach. Tyler as you know loves to dig all day in the sand, which was a thrill to have his pal "papa" doing it along with him. Morgan's favorite part was to be buried in the sand and build mermaid fins around her legs. Brooklyn was a little angel all day thank goodness, and Julianna was driving her mommy crazy by eating as much sand as she could get away with! It was definitely one of the more relaxing days of their busy trip here in California.

Fine Dinning at McDonald's

This is my Favorite McDonalds comercial. I can't help but want to start groov'n with the kid. Morgan likes to try to copy his moves too! We go to McDonalds at least one to two times a week and Morgan and Tyler love to play on the Jungle Gym which disgusts me, but I think sometimes as mom's we have to just look the other way to keep the peace and the crying to a minimum, then go crazy with the hand gel, and baby wipes before getting into the car.

Visit From Grandma & Grandpa Braden

We have had such a fun time so far with Grandma and Grandpa Braden, Uncle Tanner, and Aunt Becca and Julianna visiting. We had fun relaxing this weekend, and pool fun with the babies. As you can see Julianna had to be baracaded in her pack n play so she'd stay put to go to sleep. Crazy little Monkey girl! (But we love her!)

Happy 3rd Birthday Johnny! A day in the SUN

Last weekend was little Johnny's 3rd Birthday Party at the Beach. It was our first beach day for the summer! What a great idea guys! Way to go. We had so much fun. Brooklyn was a little angel as usual, and Morgan spent most of her time digging for sea shells in the sand and playing barbies.Tyler was glues to the waves and wet sand as he filled his sandpail with sand, water, and sand crabs. He didn't really notice the sea weed and kelp that collected around him as the waves came. Regardless of all the sand that gets EVERYWHERE, we always love a day at the beach.

Brooklyn had a very Happy Day today. She was extra smiley and social. She has started to really coo and engage us in conversation. Its so sweet to get to see her recognize her voice and try to get our attention. She is so much fun!

Love Affair With My Daddy

Being that Daddy greets her first in the morning while mommy is downstairs working for a few hours, she has developed a special bond with her daddy, and loves him very very much. He actually gets the better smiles out of her than anyone else in the house! Way to go Daddy!

Smiles and Coos

Little Brooklyn has officially broken out the Smiles. She is so jolly in the morning and extra extra smiley. It is our favorite time of the day. We have decided that she has her daddy's eyes because when she smiles they turn into slits and you can't see her eyeballs very well. We are enjoying her interactions so much, she is absolutely adorable.

Big Girl Bike

Morgan is getting more and more brave to ride her "Big Girl Bike" She's not a fan of how the training wheels tip, and she feels vulnerable that she might crash, so I have to convince her to get on it. But this week I convinced her to ride it all the way to the Park which is about a 1/4 of a mile from our house. She Did it! And she was so proud of herself and now initiates riding her bike on her own. Hooray! It wasn't a worthless expense after all.

Happy Birthday Morgan! The Big 4

Morgan absolutely was extatic that her Birthday had Finally arrived. She was literally counting down the days. A few days before her birthday she came to each of us telling us that she had "two more sleeps" before she turns 4, and then "one more sleep" before she would be 4. It was one of those cute saying moments that we have so often around here with both Morgan and Tyler. She and I had fun making her Flower Cake that she has said she wanted to make for about 2 months now. I made it out of cupcakes and a brownie tin. Not bad for not having an official tin eh? She also thought it was pretty exciting to have an official Big Girl Bike and that Daddy was so good to help her ride it and stay close to her. Thanks Dad!
