Kids Say the Darndest Things
So a little preface to my cute tylerism...... I workout each morning for about 30-45 min. Usually my stationary bike or treadmill. I like to listen to music while I workout to get me pumped up, and let the kids play around me in the garage while I do it. Well often Morgan and Tyler fight, or talk to me while I am exercising and often I have to tell them, "I can't hear you with my headphones on, gotta work it out together." So.... today I was asking Tyler to not take the bike into the house, he was insistant that he bring it in, and I asked him again not to bring the bike into the house... well he yelled at me saying " I CAN'T HEAR YOU MOM, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" I was cracking up because he could hear me he just didn't want to because he knew I didn't want him to bring the bike in. In analyzing his comment, I found it hilarious that from his perspective he must feel whatever he was asking me or telling me while I had head phones on, was something I didn't want him to do or say and thats why I didn't do anything to help him and my way of stopping him or preventing him was to say " I can't hear you." Little Buddy... so smart yet still not quite smart enough. hahaha

Our Little Artist
So this is a picture Morgan decided to draw this week of our family. We had to post it since her drawings have now advanced from big heads with arms coming out of them, to bodies, faces, and features like hair. My favorite is Tyler's hair because it specifically has curls. When I asked her what the circles on grandma and grandpa were, she said matter of factly, "their bellies." I asked her where my and daddy's was, and she said she was pretending that we don't have them. I then proceeded to agree that was a good idea, and that I pretend all the time that I don't have a belly! Ha Ha Ha she didn't get it, but I had a good laugh. Morgan is our little artist and usually has a new drawing every day. Daddy got a very special one of just her and him together on Father's Day! Nothing better than KID art!
GRADUATION DAY
Morgan made it! One successful year of "JOY SCHOOL" Preschool. She really loved her preschool this year. It was a group of 5 little girls all within about 6months of age. They got along quite well, and learned many new things together. They enjoyed crafts, books, pupets, writing, games, "free play time," and so much more. WAY TO GO MORGAN! What a big girl!
Snip Snip, Cut Cut
So we finally gave in, I decided to cut the locks. Yup His curls are gone. I did leave a few on the top but its short everywhere else. He was getting so hot with summer aproaching, I dedided it was time. His head seems smaller now that the fullness from all the fluff is gone, but I think he looks extra cute and clean cut, and older.

BUSTED!
So Becca had some Pregnancy late night cravings tonight, and I was having sympathy cravings in her behalf so at 10:30 pm we decided to make a Cold Stone run for ice cream, and then take out from Chilis. Sweet Cream with cookie dough, queso, chips and mozerella cheese sticks here we come! Well on our way home about 1 mile from my house I get pulled over by a cop. I of course was asked for my liscense and registration. Well I happened to be driving Becca's Mother-in-laws van since becca was feeling sick. The cop asked if I had been drinking! What? ME? well, of course I said no, becca chimed in that I was a nursing mom, hahaha and then the cop shined her flashlight to look back at Brooklyn. Well there were 3 cops and 2 cop cars and they made me get out of the car and do a drunk test! Talk about humiliating. They said they had an undercover cop follow me and call me in. But I assured them that due to the construction and big van I was driving, I was just nervous in the dark. Well I proceeded to pass the test, and then share with them I've never drank in my life, smoked, or even been pulled over for that matter. They were surprised at that, and I told them I was Mormon thats why I don't drink or smoke. They thought that was funny and laughed then said "well we can give you one of those tonight if you'd like." I then joked that going through a drunk test, maybe I'd take them up on the drink. We all had a good laugh, then they told me to relax and that I didn't have to stand so stiff as we waited for them to clear my liscense. They cleared me and said I was free to go and to be more careful. I was horrified of the whole experience, but had a good laugh and story to tell coming home. I would stick out like a sore thumb as an inmate!

The Best time with Grandma and Grandpa Braden
This past week was such a great kick-off to our summer with grandma and grandpa Braden, uncle Tanner, and Aunt Becca and Juliana here! Tyler bonded with Grandpa right away by Grandpa offering to share his juice. For the rest of their visit tyler asked for "papa's juice" and would go cuddle next to him. Uncle Tanner was the best helper I could ask for, and several times did the nigt-time routine to get Morgan to bed. Can you move in Tanner! Thanks for all your help, you RULE!
A Crazy Fun day at Disneyland
So I decided to attempt it! Go to Disneyland with 3 kids. Not sure what I was thinking, but in the end it was worth it and lots of fun. There were a few melt downs and rough moments around nap time, but overall we had a blast! Tyler and Morgan were able to go on quite a few rides and thought it was the best day ever. Jared was a little nervous on the Dumbo ride because his knees were about wrapped around his ears, but the ride wouldn't have been as fun without daddy! What a good sport!
Toontown
Disney Characters
We had a very exciting day at Disneyland on Tuesday. Morgan and Tyler were in SHOCK that the REAL Minnie and Mickey, and Pluto were there. I was surprised to see ALL of the characters there that morning, of all the times I've gone this was by far the most I've ever seen out at the same time. Tyler was so loving to pluto when we went up to greet him, he leaned his head over to him to try to give him a hug. In the picture with pluto you can see his adoring expression towards pluto. Because he watched Mickey Mouse each morning he was calling out all the characters as he saw them. Morgan so sooooooooooooooooo excited to see minnie and give her a big HUG. She kept telling me "Mom that is the REAL Minnie mom, the REAL Minnie."
Cookie Tradition
Morgan has had the fun of helping Grandma Braden make cookies the last 2 times that she has visited, so it has now become a tradition that when she comes, at some point during their stay, they HAVE to make cookies together. Tyler decided to join in this time around and help with the frosting and sprinkles. Some looked dangerously finger licking good, but for their sake I still had to have one.
