Hip Hip Hooray... 5yrs Cancer Free!!!

This month marks the month of 5 yrs Cancer Free for DAD C.  We are so excited and releived to see him pass this milestone.  5yrs in remission is a wonderful hurdle, and we look forward to many many more 5 yr marks with him.  Crowder kids planned a surprise party to celebrate him, and this great milestone!  Love you Grandpa/Dad!

Happy 4th Birthday Tyler!!!

Last Monday was Tyler's 4th birthday.  We celebrated with cousins, friends, and Spiderman!  Little boys are very easy to entertain.. get their creative juices going and let them loose!  We put pictures of green goblin up on the windows and pretended to be spiderman, squirting him to death!  We did water balloon games and slip'n slide.  My days seem to be so jam packed these days, that I have a hard time slowing down and soaking him in sometimes.  He is so fun to observe and watch on the sidelines.  Tyler does not like too much attention, he doesn't like direct correction or criticism, and most definitely does not like doing things that are not his ideas, but he does love cuddles on the couch, story time, Disney's Cars, and spontaneous hugs and kisses.   He loves to pretend, and play computer games.  He tells everyone "I'm not your friend" if he doesn't like what you say or do, and tries to punish ME that he wants to take his toys back to the store, if I make him clean them up.  LOL!  I love this little guy, and hope that age 4 doesn't slip through my fingers too fast.  Age 3 seems still baby to me, or at least toddlerish.. so to see him become 4 was hard for me this year.  Seeing him tranform into a little boy these past few months, and out of the baby/toddler stage makes me a little nostalgic.  Love you Tyler!

I GET IT!!!

So I finally feel like I "get it" when it comes to shooting in all modes of photography. I started self teaching about a year ago when I bought my first book on it and purchased my Canon and its been a very enjoyable yet also frustrating road. Because I didn't have a teacher to call on I spend hours re-reading and re-reading to try to get everything to sink in. Its exciting to feel like lights finally went on in my head. I feel that fun exciting satisfaction and joy I think my kids experience when they grasp a concept for the first time. Morgan once looked at me and gasped saying "MOM do you know that we use our ABC's to Talk?" So now for me it all about the creativity mode now. What Can I come up with next!

My Buddy Ry Ry!

This cute munchkin is my little nephew Ryker and our most recent buddy! We got to play with him this week and I captured this cute little drooley expression that we see quite often. He is only 5 weeks older than Chase and always reminding me of the cute new things Chase will be doing soon!

My Photography Biz Logo FINALLY!

I have been spending weeks and weeks in the creative mode trying to figure out what I want as my photography business logo. I wanted something catchy, creative, femanine, but not too girly, and something that can have a catch phrase. Plus there's only a million options, and colors, and fonts and YOU NAME IT! So to say the least my brain is tired. I have been driving Jared crazy getting his input, asking him to marinate on one thing after another. I first started out with flowers for a week or so, then Sunshine was my new kick for a couple of weeks, then I had the idea of Rainbows because everyone thinks rainbows are pretty. But nothing I thought of had a cute saying to go along with Life/Photography/Beauty or expressing how I feel about taking pictures. Well by golly I've GOT IT! I love Ah-HA Moments, and this was totally one of those moments. I found the Logo I wanted by hours and hours of searching and trying on all different kinds. My favorite part of the whole thing was Jared and I came up with the exact same saying. It was PERFECT. So here are a few repeat pictures just to showcase my logo in all its variations. Some day hopefully soon when I get my website designed, my logo will be on it and my catch phrase will be "RC PHOTOGRAPHY.......Life.....in all its Seasons"

A Fun Photo Shoot!

Yesterday was a GORGEOUS day with perfect natural lighting I just had to take advantage of it, and practice my latest learned skills. Unfortunately for them, my kids are my models and often get weary of being photographed. They were good sports though, and were most excited about the treat picking afterwards. I'm getting to the point now that I have to BRIBE them to pose for me and let me get pictures of them, which is sad because I love practicing and trying new things. Morgan on the other hand loves to pose and loves the attention. Anyone needing free family pictures or kid photos, let me know so I can practice on someone else for a change.
