This last weekend we went Beach Camping for the first time with our kids. It was a great first-time experience, and one we plan to start doing annually. We had lots of fun friends we got to joing along with, and scored an awesome campsite and great fun.
The veiw from our campsite
Jared axe-ing his hand with the WORSTE tent stakes into what seriously seemed to be concrete ground... very fun for him. He claimed it killed him, twice. Once going in, and the 2nd time taking them out. One guy we were with broke like 6 stakes in his tent set-up.
Just Us
Brooklyn and her buddy Aiden- and the beloved doggy, riding in the "bucky" -Bucky means buckle, and because the wagon had a seat with a buckle strap... the whole wagon was known as "bucky." She would have rode and rode all day long. When it wasn't her turn she would follow the wagon with tears yelling "bucky... bucky!"
Tent troops and air mattress jumping... most definitely entertaining!
Tyler Signing off.
Nighty night little sleeping bag buddies. Surprisingly enough, Brooklyn went right down in her pack'n play and Morgan and Tyler slept through the night.
Great Sunset
Rise'n shine at 5:45 AM.... Thanks choo choo train!!! (One unfortunate part of the nightime, was a train that went off just below our campsite about every hour.) As you can see Daddy in the background was not interrested in getting up yet.. regardless of the train or the little early birds. Being almost 7 months pregnant, sleeping on the airmatress did me no good. So once the kids were up, no reason for me to keep tossing and turning either.
The super killer treck to the beach. This hill was megga steep, and on the way back up, I had the stroller, the cooler, and 2 wimped out kids on top of the cooler. I pushed about 1/2 way, then Jared pushed the 2nd 1/2. We both about had a heart attack, due to the breathlessness of the hike. It was so steep! We laughed so we wouldn't cry how out of shape we were for this. I'm sure we were a sight to see. We got all kinds of laughs and smirks from strangers that passed us both coming and going.

NO STINKING FAIR! WHY wasn't I invited!?!?!?!? How FUN! You are a trooper...I am no happy camper when I am prego! Love you!
You guys rule! I can't imagine doing such a thing while preggers! It looks like you made some pretty special memories though! I think your hubby is pretty cool to do it too - my man is NOT a 'happy camper'...we just don't 'do' camping...at least not yet. It bums me out...but I think we can hike and that is my favorite part. I loved the 'bucky' name too...Brooklyn is such a joy!
